Who are we?

Adrian Sie

MBChB, MRCP (UK), DTMH, BMedSci

I have been a consultant in paediatrics with an interest in paediatric allergy for 14 years. I trained in Sheffield, Edinburgh and Glasgow – I currently work at the University Hospital Wishaw in Lanarkshire.

I am the clinical lead for the NHS Children and Young People Allergy Network Scotland (CYANS). This is the network of health care professionals with an interest in allergy in Scotland, we work to ensure high quality allergy services are offered across the country. We have published guidelines on the diagnosis and management of food allergies, patient information leaflets, and we run regular allergy education sessions for GPs, health visitors, nurses and paediatricians.

I am currently the chair of the Scottish Government Technical working group on allergies and prescribed diets.

I am also a member of the UK National Allergy Strategy Group, the Anaphylaxis UK clinical and scientific panel, and the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology transition working group.

I regularly publish allergy articles for paediatricians on my website www.Scottishpaeds.org.uk.
