We will explain the process and answer any questions you may have, before committing to treatment. This is not intended as an opportunity to discuss allergies in general, or diagnose allergies &#8211; if you have not been seen in an allergy clinic already, you would have to do that first (either here at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.glasgowprivateclinic.co.uk\">Glasgow Private Clinic<\/a>, or through the NHS or elsewhere).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This initial assessment visit is charged at \u00a3150. If you proceed to treatment, then this is deducted from the total cost of treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will try to ensure this first visit is appropriate by getting some initial details from you by phone or email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treatment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cost of treatment is \u00a38 000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This covers:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Defatted peanut powder for up to 1 year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of any allergic reactions happening in the clinic&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Initial dose escalation visit<\/strong> (4-5 hours)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phone\/email support during working hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11 <strong>updosing  visits<\/strong> (1 hour)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any additional visits (for example, because of a gap in treatment or illness) up until 1 year after starting treatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support from specialist dietician if required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional consultations relating to side effects (but this would not cover involvement of other medical specialists)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transition challenge<\/strong> from peanut flour to other forms of peanut (peanut M&amp;Ms, for example) &#8211; optional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final consultation at end of first year of treatment <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Annual follow up after that is recommended but not included in the above price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Payment is by bank transfer &#8211; for credit card payments, please use the Payment Plan below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initial deposit of at least 50% of total cost is required before starting treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Payment Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are able to offer a payment plan, where the cost of the treatment is spread over the first 6 months. This incurs a \u00a3100 administration fee on each of 3 payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Payment 1 \u2013 must be received prior to Initial Escalation visit \u2013 50% of total (-\u00a3150 initial assessment consultation charge)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Payment 2 \u2013 2 months after Initial Escalation visit \u2013 25% of total<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Payment 3 \u2013 4 months after Initial Escalation visit \u2013 25% of total<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refunds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you change your mind before starting stage 1 (initial escalation visit) &#8211; full refund minus a \u00a3150 administration fee (a further charge of \u00a3150 will be applied if less than 7 days\u2019 notice is given).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you do not progress beyond the Initial Escalation visit \u2013 full refund minus \u00a3800 costs and \u00a3150 administration fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you stop treatment before the 6th up dosing visit \u2013 full refund minus \u00a32000 costs and \u00a3150 administration fee. If treatment period has been longer than 3 months from Initial Escalation visit, then additional medication will also be charged for, at cost price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you stop treatment after the 6th up dosing visit but before the 10th up dosing visit \u2013 full refund minus \u00a36000 costs and \u00a3150 administration fee. If treatment period has been longer than 4 months from the Initial Escalation visit, then additional medication will also be charged for, at cost price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have paid by credit card, transaction fees incurred by the clinic will be deducted from any refund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you stop treatment after the 10th up dosing visit \u2013 no refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>[Updated 16\/2\/26]<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Initial Assessment You need an initial assessment visit &#8211; this is to discuss the balance of risks and benefits with you (the person with allergies as well as their parents\/carers).
